Birthday Parties and Date Night

Saturday was a busy day for one of us. Jamison had two birthday parties to go to. Luckily they didn't overlap by too much. Our friends and neighbor have a little boy Ryan who started in Jamison's Kindergarten class with him. But 3 weeks into the year they decided that 25-26 students is too much for each kindergarten class so they were opening a 4th group.  Ryan was moved to the new teacher. But both boys still consider the other best buds. So Jamison had this party over lunch they played games and lunch at their house.  We left a little early to make it to the next party. Bowling at Cadillac, when we got there Jamison was mobbed by the rest of the party. He had so much fun and felt so special by having two parties. That is something Campbell has never done.

So Saturday night, Jamison wasn't hungry since he had so much cake.  Brian and Jamison decided they would have soup at home. Campbell and I were going to McD since it was the 3rd night we had been tempted by it.  I love one on one time with the boys. Campbell told me about the new girl at school. What they are studying and just the little things going on at school. we weren't sitting there for very long when the gentleman who took our order walked over and offered us a mini McFlurry that they made by mistake. We got dessert on date night too. Next time I have to go with Jamison.

May 8

I was busy getting dressed this morning and looked at the time. After 7 and no Jamison yet. This is highly unusual so I peeked into his room. There he sat reading a book on his bed. He of course pushed most of the animals and blankets off the bed first. I went and got my camera so I could take a picture. Before I snapped the picture I decided to listen to the book he was reading. It was Froggy Rides a Bike. He did pretty good with the plot of the story and watching his action when Froggy crashes into the tree was too funny. I snapped the picture, he looks up and says "Mommy is it get up time?" Does this mean he realizes that I am not a morning person like him and that he is waiting for me to say time to get up? I'm not ready for that! Even though I am not a morning person I love our cuddle time in the morning and would hate to miss it.

April 30

HELP! Dirk called this morning to tell me he tried to cook my pork for BBQ pork sandwiches yesterday and he had them in the smoker from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and they are still not done. He thinks I should switch to plan B. I don't have a plan B. I am 2 days away from my party and don't have a plan B. Hello Hy-Vee can you help me? Yes they can! I now have BBQ pork sandwiches for 100 and buns for 150. There will be no lack of food at this party.

April 22

I fell off the wagon. I have been clean for 2 months but this week I bought and ate chocolate chip cookie dough. It was yummy. I am disgusted with myself. I step on the scale and see it go up not down and instead of doing something about it, I go out and get CCCD. It's out of my system now and if I could find my coupon for $10 meeting fees I would be at Weight Watcher's but I misplaced that little bugger somewhere. I know I will find it the question is will I find it before it expires on 6/6? I'm walking with Natalie tomorrow night and who knows maybe even Friday. Weather should hold off on Saturday in time for me to get out in the morning too. I should sign off now and go work on Wii Fit. I think I will.

Failed my commitment

I had two things I wanted to accomplish this weekend. Have all applications for passports done and get my January and February Slice of life pages done. I was so sure I would have them done that I told Rach and Nat that they would get a pack of brads from me if I didn't get them done. I owe you guys brads! So did I accomplish my other goal? Brian filled his application out (the last one, mom) but could not get it printed. I think it had something to do with the littlest one playing with the printer that morning. He is a techno wannabe. But all was not lost I have January pictures on the page. I did two more pages that also need journaling. One along with January needs a title. . . and I got all my laundry washed, folded and put away. That hasn't happened since 2002. Tomorrow is my March Slice of Life day and I will be spending the morning at preschool. I should have an interesting story to tell.
